Pros and cons of Hearts+ app for iPhone and iPad

Hearts+ app good for

Quick and clean with good AI. Would like to see an option for Jack of Diamonds -10 scoring. Well worth the price.
I enjoy this Program but was a bit choked that the October 2011 app update wiped out my carefully built up score against the three other hands. And, those hands are now squeezed half off my iPad2 screen.
Very good game, laid out very well. But I have or been winning a lot. Out of 10 game I always win 5 or 6, 7, 8, 9 times. Some times I will win all 10 games. This is because I have thrown a wrench into the mix, and they can not figure it out. I just finished a game were I won 8 game out of 10 games. I never loose.
I have been looking for a good hearts game that you can play against the computer since I got an iPad. Instead I got this great one! Easy to play, easy to use cards, and so far smart opponents!
Fun game. Passes the time. Wish I didnt have to constantly check the settings. They change on their own!
Great game! Very nice graphics and excellent response. The new Undo button is godsend. Probably the easiest five stars Ive ever given to an app.

Some bad moments

Not winning a game in 28 consecutive tries is reason enough to no longer tolerate the features of the current game as it stands, but also: Of the 4 players dealt, only 3 are active. Too many shoot the moon hands in the game. And to add insult to injury, the inactive player is the 1 getting most of them. Who in their right mind plays a game where the chances of winning are so stacked against them. I love the game of hearts but will no longer take the abuse. When playing against humans I have at least a chance. Too bad!
Major Bug - At one point in a hand, an opponent wont have a particular suit. Later on in the same hand, the same opponent will have the suit. Also, the AI isnt very good even on the hardest level. It will sometimes lead the king or ace of spaces even though it has the queen with few protectors.
First off, I was surprised when East played hearts instead of following suit, ran out of hearts, then followed suit. Second, the only rules option available is whether to pass. No option for other rules variants that Im familiar with, such as jack of diamonds. Third, its missing simple features such as review last trick, or auto-play when either no more points are out or the remaining tricks are yours.
AI is terrible...I purchased this last night looking for a good Hearts game. What a disappointment...after playing several games my computer opponents shot the moon over 75 percent of the time. I would stop it when I could. However, the other computer opponents seemed content to let it happen and never tried to stop it unless it was me shooting the moon. Stay away from this one unless this gets fixed. Otherwise you will just get frustrated as I did...luckily I only wasted a dollar.
The developer of this game needs to rework it so that computer players rarely shoot the moon rather then commonly shoot the moon.
Does not add the difficulty of counting spent cards. Other players do not play independently for themselves but rather conspire against you. Although I can easily beat the game 80% of the time, the other 20% should also be in the win column but for the "conspiracy". Id pass on this app.
